I finished the Maple Lake Coronation I had some serious audio issues with this video, Unlike last year, they used the school's built in audio system, which normally would not be a problem, except the system's cabinet was locked and the custodial staff did not have a key. so all audio is from the mics on top the camera, you can hear what's going on, but that's about it. I talked to the coronation organizers and expressed a need to have access to that cabinet if they want a quality video. The Delano Sci Tech video was fun shoot. We started by interviewing 5 key people involved, got an hour plus of footage from that, and whittled it down to a 4 minute message full of jump cuts. Fortunately there was a sci tech showcase at the school which provided me with another hour of footage of business, students and schools showcasing themselves. http://delano-mn.pegcentral.com/player.php?video=bf760c4821 c0b321 f073f6c74d26cc39 We had a meeting in Buffalo on the City Works Budget video, Mert,Ann (from Buffalo)and Dan (New administrator from Rockford.) It was productive meeting, Devin from Delano will be helping with the writing of the script, I hope to start shooting early next month. I also had a brief mention in passing with the Big Lake Police Chief Joel Scharf on the script of the Public Safety video, we will be working on that in May as well Big Lake asked if it would be possible to video tape their year end reports to put on channel 12. This is my current project with a short deadline. There are a total of 6 videos ranging from 4 minutes to 15 minutes where each department head presents their year end report, Most department heads have provided me with pictures to help hide editing. One of our more loyal volunteers from Monticello was recruited by the school to help produce their Mock Car Crash. He asked if I could help him shoot the video for the arrest sequence that they will show after the crash, in the auditorium. We got a lot of good footage on 2 cameras, he is editing the video and I've been helping by giving advice, software shortcuts, and we provided the somber music. And the last interesting project was the Delano Expo. Every year the expo organizers ask to use our speakers to help them announce events and drawing winners, While I'm there I go ahead and interview the expo participants. After that,just for fun, I went down to the newly remodeled, and newly renamed, preforming arts center, to tape the schools performance of Zombie Prom, A fun little show, I taped it in high def to give me something to start exploring the recording and editing of high def.
