This includes 160 multifamily
units and 2,499 single family homes.
Single family home construction averaged about 250 homes
per year during the past decade (2000- 2009). The first
three years of this decade (2010 -2012) have averaged
much lower numbers at 20 homes per year, which is
attributed in part to the economic recession. Single- family
home construction peaked during the last decade in the
years between 2003 and 2005, with an average of 477
homes per year.
