Elk River Comp ehensive Plan <br />Implementation <br />Continue to review and update, as needed, the sanitary sewer and water <br />supply system plans. <br />Encourage, where feasible, existing above ground utilities to be converted to <br />underground systems or to be screened if the utilities must be located above <br />ground. <br />Maintain adequate zoning regulations for antenna towers and <br />telecommunication equipment, consistent with federal law. <br />Continue to coordinate with telecommunications companies on providing <br />services throughout the City where feasible. <br />Develop community utility facilities to the same aesthetic, environmental <br />and development standards required for private property. <br />94 / Chapter 8: Utilities <br />
