ELK RIVER ICE ARENA—ICE SYSTEM EVALUATION AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Scope of Services and Approach <br /> The Scope of the ice system evaluation includes an overall <br /> evaluation of the physical conditions and improvement options <br /> for the following systems: <br /> • Ice systems in Rinks 1 <br /> • Related waste heat recovery systems <br /> Investigation Methods and Documents <br /> Various methods were used to evaluate the existing facility <br /> including: <br /> Visual Observations: A site visit was conducted on April 3, 2012 <br /> to observe the operation of the facility and its ice systems. <br /> Interviews: During the on-site visit, an in-depth discussion was <br /> conducted with the facility's management staff to document <br /> existing issues with the facility and discussed historical <br /> problems with the ice systems. <br /> Research: Where applicable, additional research was <br /> conducted to provide accurate and detailed information <br /> regarding improvements or systems recommendations. <br /> Documents: The following documents were received and <br /> reviewed for the evaluation: <br /> • None <br /> PIStevens 6 <br />
