Mike comes to us from the City of Blaine and has some very valuable field experience which will help the water department excel in the future. • Delivered 6 new residential water meters. • Sealed the water meter and took curb stop ties from 4 water services. • Shut off 5 water services and 5 electric services, also turned on 3 water services and 2 electric services. • Turned on 1 fire line. • Completed weekly inspections of all booster stations. • Completed 25 BACTUTotal Chlorine Residual Samples; all confirmed negative for Coliform Bacteria. • Completed 21 routine fluoride samples. All samples met MDH standards. • Completed 1 fluoride sample that was sent to the Minnesota Department of Health for testing validation. The validation was within 3/100 of one part per million. Our field test showed a reading of 1.17 parts per million and the MDH sample read 1.2 parts per million. • 43 of 78 Businesses have signed up for the private hydrant maintenance program. With those 43 businesses signing up that puts the total at 109 of 191 hydrants. • Angela and Pete have started our chemical upgrade project. The first 10 chemical dosing pumps have been delivered with 5 of those pumps being installed as fluoride pumps.
