David Peril - 10 - December 22, 2003

A review of the 95th percentile queue lengths for all intersections wa~ performed to determine if
any queuing problems would occur during year 2006 build peak hour conditions. Results of the
year 2006 queuing analysis indicate that the eastbound left-turn at the intersection of
TH 169/197th Avenue and the northbound left-turn at the intersection of TH 169/193rd Avenue
may occasionally extend beyond their storage facilities. The eastbound left-turn and
through/right-turn lanes will also occasionally queue back into the adjacent Jackson Street/
Holt Street intersection. However, it does not sig-nificantly impact the overall operations at the
adjacent intersection of Jackson StreeffHolt Street.

Although all key intersections are expected to operate at acceptable levels of service, there are
geometric improvements that should be implemented to proactively prepare for future
conditions, as well as improve overall safety. Each of the improvements listed below were
agreed upon during coordinating discussions with Mn/DOT District 3 staff. Figure 6 shows the
recommended future year 2006 geometrics for the key intersections.

TH169 :Fa{~'i~e Hig~aY plah~
