Both were conserved as part of the park system. Oak Knoll Park could also be <br /> considered a conservancy park. <br /> The plan does not specifically designate additional Conservancy Parks, however, they <br /> should be added to the park system as the City has an opportunity to acquire and preserve <br /> special landscapes and environmentally sensitive areas that are threatened by <br /> development. <br /> SPECIAL USE <br /> The existing park system currently has seven (7) Special Use Parks, including the <br /> Jackson/Main Park (Town Square) which is City owned, and Babcock Wayside Rest, Elk <br /> River Country Club. Pinewood Golf Course, County Fairgrounds, Meadowvale School <br /> and Handke School, which are non-City owned. <br /> The plan proposes the addition of one (1) Special Use Park, which is the Downtown <br /> River Walk. <br /> Ill <br />
