The person will be engaged in the city <br /> historic downtown, 466 acres of park and recreation space, 5 miles of tr <br /> including plans for the extension of the state regional Mill Towns trail <br /> th, g P g <br /> through Northfield,the Cannon River corridor and developing areas. Th <br /> director, as a member of the development team will work closely with t <br /> city's park board, environmental quality commission,planning commis <br /> y,_! ,�, and city council to provide assistance in developing comprehensive plan <br /> practices that promote parks, open spaces, public places and trails as a c <br /> ;:_ 2i aiu3 component in maintaining and improving the high quality of life in the <br /> Northfield community. Employment to begin appx. Dec. 15. Salary rang <br /> $55,451-$65,915 plus benefits. Minimum requirements: Bachelor's deg <br /> liberal arts, geography, biology, environmental, natural resources,plann <br /> parks, or landscape architecture, with five or more years of experience a <br /> land use planner or park and open space planner, or any combination of <br /> education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, an <br /> abilities will be considered.
