EXISTING PARK SITES <br /> Elk River has approximately 728 acres of City owned park land including two large, <br /> undeveloped wooded parcels, two developed Community Parks, one area wide park and <br /> many other undeveloped sites ranging from a 1/2 acre lot to a 5.5 mile segment of an <br /> abandoned railroad corridor. <br /> Elk River also has approximately 576 acres of non-City owned land that is recreation <br /> related. This land includes two golf courses, the school grounds, the county fairgrounds, <br /> a small State Wayside Rest, and a large historic farm. <br /> The existing park sites are shown on the following map, which labels existing City owned <br /> parks with numbers and non-City owned sites with letters. <br /> 10 <br />
