Landmark submitted a letter <br /> to the City of Elk River dated December 17,2013 that summarized their review and subsequently <br /> resulted in comments requesting some additional information.In this letter,the comments from <br /> Landmark are reiterated, followed by our response,in effort to bring additional clarity or to expand <br /> upon previously submitted information included in the CUP application. <br /> The technical standard of the Mineral Excavation ordinance is identified with the bold print,followed <br /> by the comment from Landmark italic with Tiller's response to the comment following last. <br /> Sec.42-52 Application <br /> Item: <br /> (7) d.The depth of water tables throughout the proposed extraction site. <br /> Comment: <br /> The information is provided on page 4 and Figure 6 of the application. The groundwater flow <br /> interpretation is not sufficiently documented and, in the northern parcel, is in conflict with <br /> Figure 3 of the "Sampling and Analysis Plan"Elk River Landfill, January 2011. In the Plan, <br /> the groundwater table elevation is shown at 954 near the intersection of 221st Street and Hwy <br /> 169 while Figure 6 shows this elevation at 945. A groundwater divide, as described on page 4 <br /> of the application, is not consistent with the area (ElkRiver Landfill) and regional <br /> groundwater flow interpretations.
