Economic Development Authority Minutes Page 2 <br /> October 21,2013 <br /> 6.1 EDA Independence Day Photo Contest Winners <br /> Mr.Beeman presented the staff report. He introduced Jay Grammond, representing <br /> the Sandhill Photography Club,who provided a short PowerPoint presentation <br /> about the photo contest and its winners.Jim Boyle, representing the Star News, <br /> awarded one of the photo contest winners, TracyDunne,with$50 in Chamber <br /> Bucks, along with her award-winning image in a matted frame. The other contest <br /> winner,Don Deckert,was unable to attend the presentation. <br /> 7.1 Project Updates <br /> Mr. Beeman presented the staff report for the following items: <br /> • Professional Service Bureau (PSB) <br /> • Minnesota Manufacturing Week <br /> • Alliance Machine <br /> • Preferred Powder Coating (PPC) <br /> • Orluck Industries <br /> • The Bank of Elk River— Business Subsidy Job Goals <br /> • Forgivable Loan <br /> • MNCAR Expo <br /> • Realtors Day <br /> • Ethanol Technology <br /> Chairman Tveite commented on the importance of promoting Minnesota <br /> Manufacturers Week and how manufacturing is a main target of the Authority. <br /> Commissioner Wilson commented on the Alliance Machine ribbon-cutting <br /> ceremony earlier in the day, and the positive, complimentary comments stated by <br /> owner Brian Provo of the city and staff in assisting in a successful expansion of the <br /> business. <br /> 8.
