City of <br /> Elk <br /> River <br /> Resolution 14- <br /> A Resolution of the City of Elk River to Enter Into an Agreement With the <br /> Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and the Landscape <br /> Partnership Program to Share the Costs of City Beautification Projects <br /> WHEREAS, The City Council desires to improve the physical appearance of the City of <br /> Elk River; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the installation of landscaping and other <br /> improvements in highly visible locations will improve this physical appearance; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council directed the development of landscaping plans at Highway <br /> 10 and Jackson Street and the southern face of the railroad bridge embankment near <br /> northbound Highway 169, all within the MnDOT Right of Way. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk <br /> River,Minnesota, as follows: The City of Elk River act as the sponsoring unit for identified <br /> city beautification projects,in partnership with the MnDOT Landscape Partnership <br /> Program, to be conducted during the period of April 1, 2014, to April 1, 2015. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Zack Carlton of the Planning Department is hereby <br /> authorized to apply to the Minnesota Department of Transportation for funding of this <br /> project on behalf of the City of Elk River. <br /> Passed and adopted this 6`h day of January 2014. <br /> John J.
