Box 490 <br />Elk River, MN 55330 <br /> <br />Dear Mayor Duitsman, <br /> <br />The Elk River Heritage Festival committee is again planning a community event <br />celebrating Elk River's heritage. We believe the Festival is an excellent way to get <br />acquainted with our new neighbors and businesses and bring awareness to the <br />community of Elk River's past, present and future. Next year's Festival is planned for <br />September 18 and 19, 1999. <br /> <br />We are grateful for your consideration and support of past Festivals and ask again for <br />your contribution of postage and garbage disposal costs. Your generosity with these <br />two areas help us attain success with the entire event. <br /> <br />Enclosed is a copy of a letter that will be mailed to all businesses in Elk River, asking <br />for contributions and help and also detailing what is under consideration for the <br />upcoming event. We will also be applying for various grants our event may be eligible <br />for. We are confident the 1999 Elk River Heritage Festival will be indicative of our <br />community pride and desire to preserve Elk River's identity. <br /> <br />Please consider our request with the Council.
