ITEM 13 -APPLICANT'S RESOL UTION Resolution 13- A resolution of the City of Elk River City Council authorizing an application to the Parks Legacy Grant Program for grant funds to assist in the acquisition of the 335 acre Houlton property. WHEREAS, the City of Elk River (the City) desires to acquire the 335- ulton Property for park purposes; and WHEREAS, one potential source of funds to assist in such an a isitio e Parks Legacy Grant Program. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Cit Elk River will act as nsor for the project contained in the Park Legacy applicatio submit on or after Oc er 22, 2013, and that City staff is hereby authorized to ap ly D nt of Natur Resources for funding of this project on behalf of the City. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the as the legal auth o ply for financial assistance, and financial capability to in requirement y) and ensure adequate construction, operation, maintenance an d re ce e prop ed project for its design life.
