11;0212004 17:39 7634419031 MICKELSON PLBI PAGE 02
In addition, there is the option of stockpiling and hauling to
a couple of farmers who have asked Mickelson Sheep Ranch
for manure at any time. Mickelson Sheep Ranch has a lease
on 172 acres from Etch' on land that will not be developed
until sewer & water are available there and plans for S & W
in that area is not projected for many years. There is both
alfalfa and several parcels for corn that always need
fertilizer. This should more than make up an outlet for the
manure from the largest capacity of 20 horses sometime in
the distant future. With allowing for 100 plus acres on this
farm plus 15 on the Center farm, the amount of manure
produced by 20 animals would only have 1.1 T per acre. If
additional incorporation area was needed, the Toth farm has
over 350 acres.
I believe this should more than qualify as "Manure
Management planning. " A lot of thought has gone into all
phases of the proposal for the Center...not just riding &
having an arena, but the plan is to have a beautiful horse
farm that will be a real asset to the area, and will preserve
our heritage for years to come.
If I can answer any further questions, please do not hesitate
to call.
Sincere',
Joyce M --1 • n
Edina Rea • of Elk River
(former owner of the original farm so know it very well)
Phone 763 4411149/ cell 612 867 6632
