Peter R. Willenbring, PE <br /> Water Resources, Vice President <br /> Pete is a principal and co-founder of WSB Et Associates. Since starting the <br /> firm in 1995, he has developed and managed the Water Resources and <br /> Environmental Engineering Groups and selected day to day operations of <br /> the firm. From 1987 to 1995, he served as Manager of the Water Resources <br /> Department at OSM and Associates, and from 1980 to 1987 as a Project <br /> Manager and then Associate at E.A. Hickok and Associates. Prior to that <br /> time, he worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as an <br /> Environmental Engineer in the Surveillance and Analysis Division. <br /> Pete is a registered professional engineer, with over 30 years of Education: <br /> experience providing consulting services to over 100 city, county, state, Bachelor of Science in Civil <br /> and federal clients. Pete has expertise in most fields of civil engineering, Engineering, University of <br /> but is widely recognized to have developed special expertise in the fields Minnesota, 1980 <br /> of water resource and environmental engineering, project management, Registrations: <br /> design, and planning. <br /> Minnesota#15998 <br /> Over the course of his career, he has managed water resource related Memberships: <br /> projects or regulatory programs for over 50 cities or watershed districts American Society of <br /> within the Twin Cities Metropolitan area. He has reviewed, analyzed, Civil Engineers <br /> designed, or managed the construction of over 1,000 projects that were <br /> built to manage stormwater runoff rates, volumes, or quality in lakes, American Water <br /> streams, or drainage systems throughout the State of Minnesota. Resources Association <br /> Pete is a part time instructor at the University of Minnesota, teaching a <br /> master's degree course entitled "Water Resource and Environmental <br /> Engineering" to graduate students enrolled in the U of M's Master of <br /> Infrastructure Engineering Program. He periodically provides expert <br /> witness testimony on matters related to storm sewer system design, <br /> flooding, and construction management and is a trained civil mediator. <br /> Pete received national recognition in 2010 being selected as the "Water <br /> Resource Manager of the Year" by the American Public Works Association. <br /> SELECTED PROJECT EXPERIENCE <br /> Stormwater Management/Planning/Design <br /> • Prepared and assisted clients with the implementation of city-wide <br /> stormwater management plans for over 40 communities in the State <br /> of Minnesota including the Cities of Hugo, Richfield, St. Anthony, <br /> Circle Pines, Coon Rapids, Rosemount, Shakopee, Monticello, and <br /> many others. Plans required the development of complex hydrologic <br /> and water quality models to define peak discharge rates, flood <br /> elevations, and predict the quality of stormwater that would be <br /> present within the lakes and streams of the city. <br /> • Developed management policies and programs for dozens of <br /> communities and watershed districts that were used to fund <br /> improvements and regulate new development, and created a <br /> capital improvement plans that listed projects that would be WSB <br /> needed to meet plan objectives.
