Request for Action <br /> River <br /> To Item Number <br /> Parks and Recreation Commission 8.1 <br /> Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br /> Action Items August 14,2013 Steve Benoit, Recreation Manager <br /> Item Description Reviewed by <br /> Boy Scout Activity Day Michael Hecker, Parks and Recreation Director <br /> Reviewed by <br /> Action Requested <br /> Approval by motion the request by the Lions Club to hold a Boy Scouts Activity Day at Lions Park on <br /> September 15, 2013 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.with the following provisions: <br /> • Damage Deposit of$250 <br /> • Rental Fee of$25 per Lions Club fee guidelines <br /> • Group coven cost of required additional portable toilets and trash clean up as needed <br /> • Group to adhere to logistic and safety procedures required by City Staff <br /> Background/Discussion <br /> The Elk River Lions Club has requested to hold a Boy Scout Activity Day at Lions Park The event will <br /> operate on September 15,2013 from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Areas of Lions Park to be utilized include: <br /> • Lions Park Center <br /> • Shelters <br /> • Open space <br /> Activities will include: <br /> • Air Rifle <br /> • Archery <br /> • Knot Tying <br /> • Climbing Wall <br /> • General Games <br /> For the Air Rifle and Archery activities, the group will have a BSA certified range officer on site to <br /> manage safety concems.
