ORDINANCE NO. 98- <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1100.10 OF THE CITY CODE <br />OF ORDINANCES PERTAINING TO PARKING REGULATIONS <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Elk River does hereby ordain as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 1100.10, of the City of Elk River Code of <br />Ordinances - entitled "Parking Regulations" shall be amended by adding a <br />new Section 10 entitled "Overnight Parking" and by changing the existing <br />Section 10 entitled "Petty Misdemeanor; Penalty," to Section 11. <br /> <br />10. Overnight Parking. <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful for any person to <br /> <br />leave, park, permit or allow any motor vehicle to stand or remain upon <br />any city street or right-of-way for more than twenty-four hours at any <br />time. <br /> <br />· Qll. Petty Misdemeanor; Penalty. Any violation of any of the <br />provisions of Section 1100.10 shall constitute a petty misdemeanor <br />punishable by payment, upon conviction, of a fine as determined by <br />resolution by the City Council. The fine shall be doubled if the fine <br />is not paid within seven (7) days, and/or if the violator has received a <br />parking violation within the last thirty (30) days. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force <br />from and after the date of its publication. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this 10th day of August, 1998 by the City Council of the <br />City of Elk River. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Henry A.
