I would ask for Council approval to purchase a <br />12 foot wide, tow behind turf mower that would hook behind our 5200 John <br />Deere tractor. <br /> <br />This piece of equipment can be used to supplement our main hne mowing as <br />well as serve as a back-up in case our main mower would break down. I <br />received the two following quotations: <br /> <br />Isanti County Equipment <br />dehvery - in stock <br /> <br />12' progressive mower $ 7,500.00 <br />sales tax 487.50 <br /> TOTAL $ 7,987.50 <br /> <br />Sharber's Equipment <br />delivery - two weeks <br /> <br />12' land pride mower $ 9,900.00 <br />sales tax 643.50 <br /> TOTAL $10,543.50 <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff recommends the purchase of the Progressive mower from Isanti County <br />Equipment with funds to come from equipment reserves. <br /> <br />Snow Wing Post <br /> <br />An equipment evaluation revealed a damaged wing post on Unit 219. Our <br />shop has repaired this mechanism several times, but it is our opinion that it <br />cannot be repaired to withstand the rigors of another snow season.
