Economic Development Authority Minutes Page 2
November 13,2012
President Tveite stated he is in favor of selling the lot through a bidding process in order to •
make sure it is a fair sale.
Commissioner Motin indicated he would like to see an appraisal on the property. He
expressed concerns with hunting on the property due to its close proximity to roads and
buildings.
Commissioner Westgaard would like to see either an appraisal or bidding process to make
sure the sale is fair for everyone. He stated that the Police Department reviews each
request for safety before issuing a permit. He stated that it would be worth it to him to have
the property because his building is adjacent and he understands hunting the property is not
a guarantee, but he is interested in purchasing the property anyway because it is adjacent to
his current building.
Ms. Deckert confirmed that a property appraisal will be conducted on the property.
MOVED BY COMMISSIONER GUMPHREY AND SECONDED BY •
COMMISSIONER ZERWAS TO ADVERTISE THE SALE OF OUTLOT A IN
THE NORTHSTAR BUSINESS PARK THROUGH A PUBLIC BIDDING
PROCESS.
