DRAFT DRAFT DRAFT DRAFT DRAFT DRAFT DRAFT
Page 4
Permit NIN0020788
designation. To restrict or"freeze"the mass of pollutants entering the ORV W reach, the Facility cannot
increase the mass of pollutants in the effluent over that allowed by the permit on November 5, 1984.
The?ermittee is proposing to move ahead with the next phase of improvements at their wastewater
treatment facility(WWTF). The proposed project will focus on controlling the WWTF's mercury
discharge to the receiving water by incorporating a tertiary filtration system. Additionally, the existing
UV disinfection system needs to be modified to meet existing design flow demands. The existing
trickling filter towers need to have some repair work done on them to stop some leaks as well as some
miscellaneous work due to the harsh atmosphere. Additional ancillary work would consist of an
expansion of the existing garage and the addition of a standby generator. This proposed project will not
increase the current permitted design flow and loading capacity of the WWTF.
The location of designated monitoring stations is specified on the attached"Summary of Stations and
Station Locations"report.
The location of the Facility is shown on the attached topographical map.
i
