The owner of developed property, and the <br />occupant thereof, shall be jointly and severally liable to pay for the service to the premises and <br />the service shall be furnished to the premises by the City only upon the condition that the owner <br />and occupant of the premises shall be jointly and severally liable to the City for the charges. The <br />owner of rental property agrees, as a condition of receiving service, to be personally liable for <br />stormwater utility fees charged to the tenants, lessees, or other occupants. A claim for unpaid <br />charges which have been billed to the occupant of the premises or the user of the service may <br />be recovered against the owner or occupant in a civil action in any court of competent <br />jurisdiction or in the discretion of the City Administrator may be certified to the County Auditor to <br />be collected with taxes against the premises so served or reported to a collection agency. <br />Money paid to the County Auditor on the account shall belong to the City and shall be remitted <br />to the City Administrator by the County Auditor in the manner provided by law for the payment of <br />other money belonging to the City. <br />Project No. 193802143 6.30 <br />
