Mayor and City Council / CU 02-15 <br />June 17, 2002 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Planning Commission Action <br /> <br />Kathy Martin, applicant, discussed the proposal and stated that they would be constructing a <br />six foot high privacy fence along the front and sides of the property and a chain link fence <br />along the rear facing the woods. She stated that they have five show dogs, which she has <br />raised for a very long time. They stay in the house most of the time and she does not keep <br />them outside in order to reduce barking. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of the Conditional <br />Use for a Private Kennel. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff and Planning Commission recommend that the City Council approve the Conditional <br />Use Permit for a Private Kennel with the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. THAT THERE BE NO ON-SITE COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES SUCH AS <br /> BREEDING, BOARDING OR SELLING. <br />2. THAT THE ANIMAL WASTE BE DISPOSED OF PROPERLY. <br />3. THAT THE APPLICANT RECEIVES A PRIVATE KENNEL LICENSE <br /> FROM THE CITY COUNCIL. <br />4.
