MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />Item 4.5. <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />FROlq: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />Joan Schmidt, City Clerk <br /> <br />December 15, 2003 <br /> <br />2004 Fee Schedule <br /> <br />REQUEST <br />Council is requested to conduct a public hearing and adopt the 2004 fee schedule. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />At the November 17, 2003, Council meeting, the Council reviewed the proposed 2004 fees. <br />Council did not recommend any changes at that meeting. However, in addition to what was <br />reviewed at that meeting, Building and Environmental Admimstrator Stephen Rohlf is <br />recommending that plumbing permits be charged at a rate of 1.5 percent of the valuation of <br />the work, the same as we are currendy charging for heating, ventilation and air conditioning <br />permits. He also has proposed increasing the permit for septic installation and repair from <br />$60 to $100. <br /> <br />In the attached fee schedule, the proposed changes are highlighted. The current fee amount <br />to be changed or eliminated is illustrated with a strikethrough.
