On a national standard, and recommended for MN,the top three areas of focus/
responsibility for parks and recreation agencies should be: 1) Park and facility maintenance - take
care of what we currently maintain; 2) Preservation of open space; and,3) take care of our youth and
teens with parks and programming. Parks and recreation is a place based brand in which citizens
relate personal experiences and values. I hope to have more to present on this at our meeting.
