Coronations were up by one this year. For a total of five. I
edited Maple Lake's ambassador coronation. The footage was ,
supplied by their producer. It was a single camera with poor
audio. Next year I'm going to get in contact with the
ambassador organizers and make it a trailer shoot. If there is a
video during the coronation, it seems that we end up editing,
we are working on getting feeds from their playback devices.
,i. „„,, ... ,,,, .
3/41
We taped six football games and four soccer
matches.Announcers seem to be the most
t
difficult volunteers to get.At the Buffalo 44
game we mic'd up the KRWC announcer and ilk`
edited out the commercials. At the Delano =am : ,' . We taped two political forums and I helped Delano with cameras. They have 3
cameras out for repair, I brought in 3 cameras and tripods and hooked them into their system for their
council forum.
Volunteers this summer have been a little hit and -414
miss. We lost a couple of long time very
experienced volunteers due to job changes, and all
my kids are now living out of state. But we picked
up an enthusiastic young man from Rockford,he's n _
been a good addition to the team. Of course Tom
from Buffalo always comes through, and now we
have a couple of students from Monticello Higher --
School who seem really eager to help.
One interesting addition was another student from Monticello. He has a motorized wheelchair and has
limited movement, but he was really excited to help us with the soccer shoot. We had his father's
permission, and an injured player protecting him. We mounted a camera to his wheelchair, taped a
zoom control to his chair controller and stuck a headset on his head and let him go. We were impressed
with his ability to control his chair and follow the ball. After a little while, he seemed to get it, and to
know where he needed to be.
