RESOLUTION 13-_ <br /> MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT - 2013 <br /> THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into by and between the City of Elk River hereinafter referred to <br /> as the"City"and the County of Wright hereinafter referred to as the"County". <br /> WHEREAS, it is deemed to the best interest of all parties that the duties and responsibilities of both the <br /> City and the County as to maintenance on Bridge#86515 and its approaches should be clearly defined. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED with regard to said structure maintenance: <br /> MAINTENANCE <br /> CITY RESPONSIBLE FOR: <br /> (1) Maintenance of street lights; <br /> (2) Removal of snow from sidewalk; <br /> (3) Maintenance of slopes/berms and roadway on north approach (includes: turf maintenance, <br /> bituminous maintenance, drainage and riprap maintenance); <br /> (4) Snow and ice control from bridge and approaches; <br /> (5) Removal of markings/spray paint etc. from visible surfaces of bridge structure. <br /> COUNTY RESPONSIBLE FOR: <br /> (1) Periodic sweeping to remove sand and debris and removing sand/dirt from expansion joints; <br /> (2) Signing for bridge and approaches; <br /> (3) Maintenance of slopes/berms and roadway on south approach (includes: turf maintenance, <br /> bituminous maintenance, drainage and riprap maintenance); <br /> (4) Centerline and edge pavement marking (includes stop bar). <br /> The agreement between the City and County shall be for a one-year period and run from January 1, <br /> 2013, to December 31, 2013. All maintenance responsibilities will be deemed "offsetting"therefore no <br /> payments will be required for the individual maintenance work which conforms to the areas stated herein and <br /> performed under authorization of either the City or County. <br /> In the event that the structure needs major maintenance/rehabilitation an agreement detailing the work <br /> and shared costs must be approved and accepted by the City and County. <br /> ADOPTED: <br /> January 7 2013 <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Mayor <br /> City Clerk <br /> CERTIFICATION <br /> I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution duly passed, adopted and <br /> approved by the City Council of said City on January 7 , 2013 . <br /> City Clerk <br /> APPROVED AND ACCEPTED: Elk River <br /> COUNTY OF WRIGHT Name of City <br /> Chairman of the Board Date <br /> ATTEST: <br /> County Coordinator Date <br />
