Elk REQUEST FOR ACTION
River
To Item Number
Mayor and City Council 4.10
Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by
Consent December 17,2012 Justin Femrite, City Engineer
Item Description Reviewed by
Resolution Entering into Master Partnership Contract with the Cal Portner, City Administrator
State of Minnesota Reviewed by
Action Requested
Approval and execution of the attached MnDOT Master Partnership Agreement resolution which
approves the Master Partnership Contract with MnDOT and authorizes the appropriate city officials to
execute the contract.
Background/Discussion
The current Master Contract between the City of Elk River and MnDOT is expiring this month. Under
this current agreement, the city can purchase services from MnDOT. Currently,we utilize laboratory
services on our Municipal State Aid and Federal Aid projects, as well as signal repair personnel for the
city signal systems. This has been a very useful arrangement for the City of Elk River. We would
recommend that this relationship with MnDOT be continued.
The new contract remains largely the same as the current version, but with language for Work Orders
now covered within the contract.
Financial Impact
There is no direct financial impact to entering into this agreement. There is, of course, financial impact
for utilizing MnDOT services.
Attachments
• Resolution
• Master Partnership Contract
Action Motion by Second by Vote
Follow Up
INAIUPEl
