WHEREAS the Task Force desired to gather maximum public input to create a formal • <br /> redevelopment plan with a combination of a master vision,working policies, <br /> specific area recommendations and implementation priorities;and <br /> WHEREAS in September 2012,the draft Redevelopment Plan was presented to the City <br /> Council,Economic Development Authority,Housing and Redevelopment <br /> Authority,Park and Recreation Commission,Planning Commission, and <br /> Heritage Preservation Commission for feedback;and <br /> WHEREAS in September and October 2012, the draft Redevelopment Plan was open for <br /> public comment,including two open houses advertised publically to area <br /> stakeholders for feedback;and <br /> WHEREAS in November 2012,the draft Redevelopment Plan was presented to the <br /> Housing and Redevelopment Authority for review;and <br /> WHEREAS on November 19,2012, the plan was approved by the City Council. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Elk River City Council that the <br /> Mississippi Connections Redevelopment Framework is hereby approved and that this <br /> Resolution shall constitute formal approval by the Elk River City Council. <br /> Passed and adopted this 3rd day of December,2012. • <br /> IÀáÀ <br /> JoiJDetz,MR' <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Tina Allard, City Clerk <br /> • <br />
