IMPLEMENTATION METHODOLOGY
mThe purpose of this strategic plan is to provide a foundation on which to make future
decisions. Actual implementation of any strategic initiatives, including goals and
objectives, will be prioritized based on available resources, funding and current
departmental activity and workload. The plan will be continually reviewed to ensure
that the department is proceeding in a direction that is consistent with its mission and 0
core values. Z
One of the most common complaints about a strategic plan and the process itself is
the lack of progress and accountability after the plan is complete and published. The
fire department is committed, with the support of the community, to following through
with the initiatives, goals and objectives as outlined within. It is imperative that we plan
for the future and act on our plan.
To help maintain communication about the department's progress in meeting its goals
and objectives, the fire chief is committed to communicating regular status reports to
the department, City Council and other stakeholders.
Thank You
The City of Elk River would like to thank everyone that participated in the strategic
planning process for their commitment and dedication.
%ih f L'SY SMMMWca:1.
d5si! .y 1 a•.
d
r {y
