Housing&Redevelopment Authority Page 3 October 4,2004 Ms. Steinmetz reviewed three concept options for the area;one developed by the HRA and • two developed by staff. She stated that staff is requesting that the HRA review the three concept options and identify additional concept options for consideration and discuss potential barriers to implementing the concept options.Discussion took place in regards to what the HRA would like to see on a concept plan for that area.The HRA preferred concept three and suggested changes which will be brought back in November.It was also the consensus of the HRA to stay focused on the current Downtown Revitalization Project. 7. City Council Goal Setting Worksession with Boards and Commissions Director of Economic Development Catherine Mehelich stated that a City Council goal setting worksession with the eight advisory boards and commissions is scheduled for October 11,2004.She indicated that the Chair,or designated Commission member,will be asked to briefly share the top goals and projects of the respective Commission at the work session.The HRA identified the following top goals and projects to present at the October 11 meeting: 1. Implementation of the Downtown Revitalization Project with MetroPlains Development. 2. Completion of the Downtown North of Highway 10 Visioning Plan. 3. Continue to monitor the housing needs of the city. Chair Wilson indicated that he will not be able to make it to the goal setting meeting. Commissioner Toth indicated that he will present the goals and projects at the meeting. 8. Adjournment • There being no other business,MOVED BY COMMISSIONER MOTIN AND SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER TOTH TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. MOTION CARRIED 4-0.
