Approve the attached resolution accepting Councilmember Zerwas'resignation and declaring a <br /> vacancy effective January 7, 2013. <br /> 2. Provide staff direction regarding the appointment of a replacement. <br /> BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION <br /> At the November 6,2012,general election,Councilmember Nick Zerwas was elected to the Minnesota <br /> House of Representatives. <br /> Councilmember Zerwas has submitted his resignation effective January 7,2013.
