Eagle Scout, Ryan Larson presented his project;restoration of native MN plantings <br /> along the Great Northern Trail. <br /> 7.3. Eagle Scout, Taylor Hecker presented his project; design,plan and build a gateway <br /> while collaborating with the Parks Maintenance staff for the Great Northern Trail <br /> entrance near Meadowvale Elementary School. <br /> 8. Action Items <br /> 8.1. Elk River Youth Football Association Donation for Scoreboard <br /> Parks and Recreation Director,Michael Hecker introduced Elk River Resident and <br /> Elk River Youth Football Association Board Member Paul Gill; 14430 198th Ave. <br /> Mr. Gill reported that the association had been saving money for several years to be <br /> able to purchase and install a wireless football scoreboard for the Youth Athletic <br /> Complex football field. <br /> MOVED BY COMMISSIONER NYSTROM AND SECONDED BY <br /> COMMISSIONER KARLSEN TO ACCEPT STAFF <br /> RECOMMENDATION THAT THE PARKS AND RECREATION <br /> COMMISSION RECOMMEND TO CITY COUNCIL TO ACCEPT <br /> SCOREBOARD DONATION FROM THE ELK RIVER YOUTH <br /> FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION AND ASSISTANCE FOR ITS <br /> INSTALLATION AT THE YOUTH ATHLETIC COMPLEX. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 9. Parks &Recreation Director Report <br /> Parks and Recreation Director,Michael Hecker introduced the new Parks Maintenance <br /> employee Josh. <br /> Mr. Hecker also shared that the Lake Orono boat landing rebuild was completed,the <br /> Woodland Trails Park Bio Mass grant application was not awarded,continue to wait on <br /> easement agreement regarding Bailey Point and encouraged viewers and commissioners to <br /> check out the departments Facebook fan page. There is a lot of updates and information <br /> shared on this site. <br />
