MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 8.2 Public Works Facility Construction Update and Consideration of Construction Contingency <br /> Expenditures <br /> Mr. Femrite presented the staff report.He provided an update of the construction project. <br /> There was discussion regarding the painting of the existing building,the woodshop,and <br /> whether to approve funds for these projects now. <br /> Mr. Femrite stated staff is waiting to see how the final building will look before moving <br /> forward on whether to paint it.He stated the architect recommended painting the new part <br /> of the building a grey color to offset and complement the existing building color. <br /> Council requested a more detailed breakdown of the alternative projects for a future <br /> meeting. Council requested the painting of the existing building be reviewed next spring. <br /> MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER MOTIN AND SECONDED BY <br /> COUNCILMEMBER GUMPHREY TO APPROVE CONSTRUCTION AND <br /> FUNDING OF THE FUEL CANOPY AS OUTLINED IN THE STAFF REPORT. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER GUMPHREY AND SECONDED BY <br /> COUNCILMEMBER MOTIN TO APPROVE THE BUILDING REMODELING <br /> • OF THE PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY PROJECT AS OUTLINED IN THE <br /> STAFF REPORT.MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 8.3 Discuss Work Session Agendas <br /> Mr. Portner presented the staff report.He stated Council may want to move things around <br /> because Councilmember Motin will be late to the meeting. <br /> Council consensus was to accept the October 8,2012 proposed agenda. <br /> 9. Announcements <br /> Ship Grant <br /> Councilmember Zerwas asked about the status of the Ship Grant that allowed for the <br /> installation of way finding signage at the commuter rail station directing people to <br /> businesses,downtown,etc. <br /> Mr.Portner stated the Parks and Recreation Department is working on this project but has <br /> been delayed due to the timing of the Downtown Task Force and their review process. <br /> Bailey Point <br /> Mayor Dietz questioned if there is any new information regarding the Bailey Point purchase. <br /> Mr. Portner stated he is hoping to hold the closing at the end of October but would provide <br /> more information when he hears anything. <br />
