Church of St. Andrew

Conditional Use Permit Process: Cemetery

Project Description Narrative

The Church of St. Andrew requests a conditional use permit to construct a new permanent storage
garage (24' x 32') on the grounds of the parish cemetery for use in storing materials and equipment
used for the maintenance and upkeep of the cemetery grounds. This new garage would also house a
small area where those interested in purchasing burial plots could meet with the cemetery officials
without being exposed to the elements (i.e. rain, wind, cold, snow, etc). The garage would be
electrically heated and the exterior finished in a manner consistent with surrounding buildings: Vinyl
siding, shingle roof, blacktop entry, etc. Further, the proposed garage would be screened from both
the south and the west by existing evergreen trees near the site of the garage. There are no residential
neighbors to the east and there is remote screening by evergreens to the north, alon§ the northern
border of the cemetery.

This new facility would replace the two existing sheds (one metal [7.5 x 10], one wooden [8.5 x 14])
currently on the property.
