Municode Page 6 of 14 <br /> Is not a citizen of the United States or a resident alien, or is legally prohibited from working in <br /> the United States; <br /> (4) Is not of good moral character or repute; <br /> (5) Holds an intoxicating liquor license issued by the city; <br /> (6) Has knowingly falsified or misrepresented information on the license application; <br /> (7) Is not the real party in interest in the business being licensed; or <br /> (8) Owes taxes or assessments to the state, county, school district, or city that are due and <br /> delinquent. <br /> (b) Partnerships. No license shall be issued under this division to an applicant that is a partnership if <br /> such applicant has any general partner or managing partner who: <br /> (1) Is not 18 years of age or older on the date the license application is submitted to the issuing <br /> authority; <br /> (2) Has been convicted of any crime directly related to the occupation licensed as prescribed by <br /> Minn. Stats. § 364.03, subd. 2, and who has not shown competent evidence of sufficient <br /> rehabilitation and present fitness to perform the duties of a pawnbroker as outlined in this <br /> article and as prescribed by Minn. Stats. § 364.03, subd. 3; <br /> (3) Is not a citizen of the United States or a resident alien, or is legally prohibited from working in <br /> the United States; <br /> (4) Is not of good moral character or repute; <br /> (5) Holds an intoxicating liquor license under this Code; <br /> (6) Has knowingly falsified or misrepresented information on the license application; <br /> (7) Is not the real party in interest in the business being licensed; or <br /> (8) Owes taxes or assessments to the state, county, school district, or city that are due and <br /> delinquent. <br /> (c) Corporations and associations. No license shall be issued under this division to an applicant that is a <br /> corporation or other organization if such applicant has any manager, proprietor, or agent in charge of <br /> the business to be licensed who: <br /> (1) Is not 18 years of age or older on the date the license application is submitted to the issuing <br /> authority; <br /> (2) Has been convicted of any crime directly related to the occupation licensed as prescribed by <br /> Minn. Stats. § 364.03, subd. 2, and who has not shown competent evidence of sufficient <br /> rehabilitation and present fitness to perform the duties of a pawnbroker as outlined in this <br /> article and prescribed by Minn. Any change, <br /> directly or beneficially, in the ownership of any licensed pawnshop shall require an application for a <br /> new license, and the new owner must satisfy all current eligibility requirements.
