Information was distributed on estimated costs to expand Northstar commuter bus routes to downtown Minneapolis and the City of Big Lake. Laidlaw indicated that they felt it was not in the best interest to add the additional routes at this point in time due to the operating costs and projected ridership. It was recommended that NCDA work with River Rider to discuss the possibility of running shuttles from the City of Big Lake to the City of Elk River lot. A motion was made by Art Daniels, seconded by Jeanne Mason and carried unanimously that the Northstar Commuter Bus service not be extended to the downtown Minneapolis loop or the city of Big Lake, at this time, and to request that the NCDA work with River Rider to discuss the possibility of running shuttles from the City of Big Lake to the City of Elk River lot.
