The apphcant will also be <br />applying to the City Council for a hcense to operate a therapeutic massage <br />business. That apphcation will also be heard by the Council on June 15th. <br /> <br />The apphcant is a graduate of Sister Rosalind Gefre's Professional School of <br />Massage and is a certified massage therapist. The business will be open <br />Monday through Friday 9 am to 8 pm and Saturday 9 am to 4 pm by <br />appointment only. She also intends to have some retail sales of related items <br />such as aroma therapy, oils and lotions, and books. <br /> <br />The business will be located in the lower level of the plaza with access from <br />the east end of the building. She is not proposing any outside alterations to <br />the building. No signage is proposed at this time; however, any future <br />signage will have to comply with the sign ordinance. Parking will be <br />available in front of the plaza. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Meeting <br /> <br />At the Planning Commission meeting held on May 26th, no one spoke at the <br />pubhc hearing and the Commission recommended approval of the conditional <br />use permit for a therapeutic massage business. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />The Planning Commission recommended the City Council approve Luanne <br />Moe's request for a conditional use permit to operate a therapeutic massage <br />business at 934 Highway 10 with the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. The apphcant receives approval from the City Council for a hcensed to <br /> operate a therapeutic massage business. <br /> <br />2. Signage shall comply with the sign code. <br /> <br /> <br />
