Canvassing Board to take the oath of office. <br /> 2. Motion adopting resolution approving the abstract of ballots cast. Once the Board signs the <br /> abstract resolution,the results become official. <br /> BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION <br /> Per state law, the Canvassing Board is required to canvass the returns and declare official results for the <br /> Primary Election.Attached is an abstract of the votes cast for Elk River precincts. <br /> The Elk River race on the primary ballot was for Councilmember Ward 3.
