Alcohol must be limited to an area that is fenced in with secured and controlled access. Age <br />verification is required and wrist band control is recommended. <br />2. Inspection of the outside area by the Fire Department must take place prior to the event. <br />Applicant is responsible for contacting the fire marshal at 763.635.1110 to arrange for an <br />inspection after the tent and stage areas have been set up. <br />Event parking may not obstruct public roadways or render them unsafe for vehicle or pedestrian <br />traffic. <br />4. No electrical services shall be across any drive or walking surface. <br />5. All temporary signs shall receive a permit prior to display. <br />6. All applicable noise ordinances must be followed. <br />7. Applicant is responsible for any costs associated with police personnel. <br />BACKGROUND /DISCUSSION <br />The Elk River Golf Club /Three Rivers Community Foundation are requesting approval of a special event <br />permit for a concert on Friday, October 5, 2012. The event is scheduled from 6 p.m. until midnight. <br />The Elk River Golf Club's current liquor license allows for the sale and consumption of alcohol on the <br />premises, including the driving range. Alcohol will be limited to an area that is fenced in with secured and <br />controlled access. In addition to their own security, the applicant has indicated they would also like to <br />have an off -duty police officer on site during the event. The applicant is responsible for contacting the <br />Police Department to arrange for police personnel and for any costs associated with hiring an officer. <br />The city has received the required certificate of liability insurance.
