GROUND RULES FOR THE FULL SCALE EXERCISE <br /> <br />ACTUAL EMERGENCY CODE WORD: "RED BRICK" <br /> <br />Used to stop aH exercise activity in the event of an actual <br />emergency. When announced, cease exercise activity and await <br />further instructions from the EXERCISE CONTROLLER. The <br />exercise may be terminated, by the EXERCISE CONTROLLER, <br />depending on the nature of the emergency. <br /> <br />The SAFETY OFFICER also has the authority to stop or termluate <br />the exercise at any time. <br /> <br />The exercise controller team will moderate and keep the meter of the <br />exercise. The exercise controller team will have the final word in all <br />matters. <br /> <br />· .All speed limits and trsffic signs will be obeyed. Response times are not <br /> being evaluated. <br /> <br />· Red lights or sirens will not be used en route to locations. Lights can be <br /> used at locations for identification or traffic control. <br /> <br />· Actual emergency response requirements or radio/telephone usage needs <br /> will always have priority over exercise activities. <br /> <br />· If possible, units or individuals participating in the exercise should <br /> arrange for a backup to handle actual emergencies. <br /> <br />· Radio/telephone trsfiqc should be in plain language and clear text. <br /> <br />· Radio/telephone users should identify title and location. <br /> <br />· During radio/telephone use, frequently include the statement <br /> '~rHIS IS A DRILL". <br /> <br />· Play the game. ANTICIPATE. If more information is needed, ask.
