Of the cities <br />researched, only one has a single employee doing the cleaning of city <br />hall. This city is dissatisfied with the situation. Problems arise <br />when the employee is either sick or on vacation. There is no one to <br />cover the work that the employee performs. <br /> <br />A majority of the cities surveyed have offered two options; <br /> <br />Hire a Building Maintenance Worker who supervises a Custodian. <br />The custodian provides general janitorial services and the <br />Building Maintenance Worker provides building maintenance <br />such as HVAC, snowplowing etc. <br /> <br />Hire a Building Maintenance Worker who is responsible for <br />contracting with a cleaning service to clean the buildings. The <br />Building Maintenance Worker provides building maintenance <br />and snowplowing etc. <br /> <br /> <br />
