We appreciate the cooperation of the downtown businesses and
understand the outage was an inconvenience to some- looking big picture, that temporary
inconvenience is well worth the increased traffic a visibility your business will receive upon
completion of the lot and arrival of the long anticipated Farmer's Market will bring.
Per their request, Century Link has been working on upgrading their phone lines in the project
area; phone service is not scheduled to be disrupted as part of our construction. Century Link
is upgrading their cables below ground during our construction, however they will not be
making any service connection changes for the next month or so. Staff has instructed Century
Link to work with their customers to notify them of any planned outage as part of their system
• upgrades when they plan to switch customers over. With any
construction project, there may be situations in which we have limited to no notice of this
occurring, please know that if this does occur, we are doing our best to ensure we are
communicating and are working to restore the access as soon as feasible. Underground utility
work is nearly complete so we are hopeful the interruptions will be less frequent and less
intrusive.
Week of June 4-8
Northland Stucco has completed the EFIS work on the wall of Elk River Meats. Construction of concrete curb and. gutter is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, June
6. If all goes as planned, paver construction may begin as early as Friday, June 8. Crews will
also begin work on the trash enclosure structure in the coining week. The trash enclosure will
be built with colors that complement the color of the new wall on the Elk River Meats
building. All businesses on Jackson and Elk.. River .Meats will be able to put their dumpsters
• and recycling bins in the enclosure upon parking lot completion. If you do not currently
recy=cle, please contact your trash hauler to ftnd out how you can begin recycling.
