APPLICANT SHALL PROVIDE <br />PORTABLE TOILET FACILITIES THROUGH A PRIVATE <br />CONTRACTOR. <br />4.10 PERSONNEL POLICY MANUAL BENEFIT CHANGES. <br />MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br />5. Open Forum <br />No one appeared for open forum. <br />5.1. Approving Engineering Tech II Position <br />Mayor Dietz asked questions regarding the funding of this position and how much it will <br />cost. <br />Mr. Fortner explained that $14,000 would come from the General Fund with the rest of the <br />funds to come from project funds and NPDES funds. He explained this position will be <br />programed into next year's budget and going forward, 20% of the salary would come from <br />the General Fund and the rest would be paid by professional services and billable expenses. <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER WESTGAARD AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER MOTIN TO APPROVE THE ENGINEERING TECH II <br />POSITION AS OUTLINED IN THE STAFF REPORT. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br />6.1 Check Presentation -CenterPoint Enerev <br />Chief Cunningham presented the staff report. He introduced Scott Lehner, Area Manager, <br />representing CenterPoint Energy's Community Partnership Grant. <br />Mr. Lehner presented Chief Cunningham with a check in the amount of $2,500 to purchase <br />confined space rescue equipment. <br />6.2 Fourth of uly Celebration Update -Jim Bogie <br />Mr. Boyle updated the Council on the fundraising efforts by the Fourth of July Celebration <br />Committee. He stated they are well on their way to their $15,000 goal. He explained some of <br />the many local entertainment and vendors appearing at the celebration and stated the <br />committee was putting together details on a Powered by Nature photo contest. He thanked <br />the Council for their support in the celebration. <br />
