ORDINANCE 12 -08 CITY OF ELK RIVER AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER AMENDING SECTION 50 -91 and 50 -96 OF THE ELK RIVER, MINNESOTA, CITY CODE The City Council of the City of Elk River does hereby ordain as follows: Section 1. Section 50 -91 titled, Definitions, of the City of Elk River Code of Ordinances shall be amended to change the fol- lowing: Calendar year means a 12 -month period beginning on January 1st and ending on December 31st. Section 50 -96, titled, Enforcement of Alarm Ordi- narIce, of the City of Elk River Code of Ordinances shall be amended to change the follow - ing: Excessive false alarms /failure to register. It is _ILPreby found and determined yt three or more false alarms n a calendar year is exces- sive, constitutes a public.nui- sarlce, and shall be unlawful. Civil penalties for false alarms and for failure to obtain an alarm permit for an alarm sys- teni may be assessed against an alarm user, as provided in the city's current fee schedule. Section 2. That this ordi- nance shall take effect upon publication as provided by law. Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this 21st day of May, 2012. John J.
