Special City Council Meeting <br />May 11, 1998 <br />Page2 <br /> <br />Mr. Mako indicated the market benefit for the Brown property was estimated at <br />a total of $1,148,000, which includes $175,000 for the Browns' home and its 2-1/2 <br />acre home site. Mr. Mako reviewed the propedies which was used for <br />comparison in making the estimation (Plaisted, Schulze, and Assembly of God <br />church site). <br /> <br />Pat Klaers noted that all properties included in the urban service as part of the <br />recent Comprehensive Plan update and especially properties included in the <br />Phase I trunk sewer and water utility project have seen a significant increase in <br />overall value. <br /> <br />Joe Thompson, representing the Browns, indicated that the wetland are has now <br />been determined to be 27.9 acres, versus the previous estimation of 32.5 acres. <br />Terry Maurer indicated it was likely the additional non-wetland properties were <br />located near the railroad tracks and would not greatly impact the valuation of <br />the site. <br /> <br />4.
