Steinman, Director of Economic <br />Development <br /> <br />April 27, 1998 <br /> <br />Marketing Holt/Jackson Property <br /> <br />Issue <br /> <br />The issue before the City Council at this time is to determine how you wish to <br />proceed with the marketing of the Holt and Jackson site. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The site is located at the corner of Holt and Jackson with frontage on <br />Highway 169. It appears the site can accommodate an approximately 6,000 <br />square foot building with 33-40 parking stalls. The trees along the north and <br />west side of this site would not need to be cleared in order to accommodate <br />this size development. Staff envisions utilities being provided to the site at <br />the time work is being done on the remaining pad at the Kraus-Anderson <br />development. <br /> <br />Staff suggests the Council discuss the following two primary questions with <br />regard to marketing this site: <br /> <br />· What is the asking price? <br />· What are the desired uses? <br /> <br />Attached to this report is a hst of the allowable uses in the C4 zone. <br /> <br />After receiving direction from Council on the priced and desired uses, staff <br />will proceed to have a sign constructed on the site which will be visible from <br />Highway 169 and also create a marketing brochure for the site which will be <br />distributed to all area real estate offices. <br /> <br />13065 Orono Parkway · P.O.
