• <br />• <br />is <br />City Council Minutes <br />May 7, 2012 <br />Mr. Simon presented his staff report. <br />Page 5 <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER ZERWAS AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER WESTGAARD TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 12 -22 <br />PROVIDING FOR THE REDEMPTION OF CERTAIN OUTSTANDING <br />GENERAL OBLIGATION TAX INCREMENT BONDS, SERIES 2000A OF THE <br />CITY. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />8.6 Discuss Work Session Agendas <br />Mr. Portner presented his staff report. He stated that he would also like to discuss tax <br />forfeiture property and the sign policy at the May work session. <br />Announcements <br />Mr. Portner indicated that this will be the last paper packet printed for the Council and that <br />any member of the Council still requiring a paper copy should let him know. <br />He stated that the Granite Shores ribbon cutting is May 14, 2012. He asked the Council to <br />let him know if they plan to attend. <br />The Council recessed to the Upper Town Conference Room at 7:22 for a work session. <br />10.1 Houlton Property <br />Mr. Hecker presented his staff report. <br />Discussion took place on the potential uses and costs of the property. Council consensus <br />was for staff to explore purchase of the property and report back to the Council. Mayor <br />Dietz stated that he would like staff to inquire if long -term purchase opportunities are <br />available. <br />11. Adjournment <br />There being no further business, Mayor Dietz adjourned the meeting of the Elk River City <br />Council at 7:44 p.m. <br />Minutes Prepared by Jessica Miller <br />
