Compensation of members and <br />officers. <br />The compensation of members and officers of <br />the fire department shall be determined by reso- <br />lution of the council. <br />(Code 1932, § 206.13) <br />Sec. 22-40. Response to fire calls outside city <br />limits. <br />The fire department is hereby authorized to <br />respond to fire calls outside city limits in accor- <br />dance with policies and rules established by coun- <br />cil resolution. The council shall, by resolution, <br />prescribe charges to be made by the department <br />for such calls and shall approve any agreements <br />made with other governmental body for fire pro- <br />~ection. <br />ode 1932, § 206.20) <br />State law reference-Authority to authorize fighting <br />fires outside of city, Minn. Reserved. <br />ARTICLE III. FIRE PREVENTION <br />STANDARDS'p <br />Sec. 22-71. Minnesota State Fire Code <br />adopted. <br />The Minnesota State Fire Code, promulgated <br />pursuant to Minn. Stats. § 299F.011 and Minne- <br />sota Rules ch. 7510, is hereby adopted by the city <br />for the purpose of prescribing regulations govern- <br />ing conditions hazazdous to life and property from <br />fire and explosion, except those portions that- are <br />*State law reference-State fire marshal and fire safety <br />.ndazds, Minn. All future <br />editions of the '.Minnesota State Fire Code shall <br />automatically be adopted by the city as they are <br />approved by the state, except those portions That <br />may be deleted or amended by section 22-73. Definitions of terms used in Min- <br />nesota State Fire Code. <br />(a) Wherever the words "chief of the bureau of <br />fire prevention" are used in the Minnesota State <br />Fire Code, they shall be held to mean the fire <br />chief. <br />(b) Wherever the word "jurisdiction' is used in <br />the Minnesota State Fire Code, it shall be held to <br />mean the City of Elk River. <br />(Code 1982, § 207.04; Ord. Amendments to Minnesota State <br />Fire Code. <br />The 1VIinnesota State Fire Code is amended <br />and changed in the following respects: <br />(1) Parking in or obstructing fre l¢ne. It is <br />unlawful to park any vehicle or to locate <br />any obstruction in an area designated as <br />a fire lane, whether the fire lane is adja- <br />cent to a public or private structure or <br />property. <br />(2) Reuieto of building plans. The chief of the <br />fire department or his representative shall <br />review all building plans, except plans for <br />single-family or two-family residences, to <br />ensure compliance with the provisions of <br />the Minnesota State Fire Code, and he/ <br />she shall note any violations discovered in <br />connection with the proposed structures <br />to such persons as shall be charged with <br />the responsibility for review of such plans. <br />(3) Article 1, section 105 (pe~mtits).
