Satisfy 2012 budget requirements: Continue to investigate and solve long-term physical and financial <br />growth needs while maintaining existing systems. Explore wholesale power supplier options in an effort <br />to lower the costs for our customers in the future. <br />2. Commitment of excellent customer service: Continue to provide excellent customer service <br />through respect, education, innovation, knowledge, and communication. <br />3. Invest in the future: Update our systems and technology to operate efficiently and effectively. <br />Continue emphasis on maintenance and system upgrades to provide safe and reliable utilities services. <br />4. Promote economic development in our community: Assist with the recruiting and retention of <br />businesses for our community. Coordinate, collaborate, and cooperate with the cities and the county we <br />serve to improve efficiencies and control costs. <br />5. Grow with our City: As urban services are expanded within our city limits, seek to expand our electric <br />utilities services to the same residents. Allowing the Utilities to grow with the City provides benefits and <br />economies of scale advantages to all of our customers and the residents of the City of Elk River. <br />6. Be an advocate for our customers at the State and Federal legislative levels: Protect our <br />system investments and natural resources through proactively informing our elected leadership industry <br />issues and how they affect our community. <br />• <br />• <br />
